Offer Letter

Offer letter not on doorstep today so hopefully tomorrow. I am really not looking forward to handing in notice on Wednesday, had team meeting with boss this morning.... he is looking forward to new guy starting on Wednesday so that we are a team of 4 again, this is going to hurt like hell.

Off to Alton Towers tomorrow for adreneline week so only a few rides open but cheap and hopefully fairly quiet. Already dreading Oblivion which even after Orlando still hurts me in a way that nothing else can.

Currently waiting for mother to finish burning the flan in the oven then on to Dexter which aired last night.

On the OU front I have done nothing really today except check the forum, the only thing I found was a note from tutor regarding November 6th tutorial and what to expect. I can't go so hoping all info will appear on forum after. To be honest, I've already finished TMA02 so not too worried.

For TMA03 I have been looking through the appendix of Learning Companion 2 to see what is required. It appears that I only have to show an awareness of identity, discourse etc.... therefore i will do what I can without stressing my brain too much.

OMG!!!

Another rather dull day at work has led to a vast amount of OU Forum reading. I would never have guessed that it would be so much fun.

There has been a lot of debating about the initials 'OMG' and whether they can be seen as offensive!! It has kinda spiraled out of control but makes for interesting reading on an otherwise dull day at work.

1st Tutorial is on Saturday and now have a 'buddy' who needs picking up and dropping off which is pretty cool.

Realised that I haven't actually done any DD101 work this week so must press on and finish TMA02 and a little reading. I will start on TMA03 workload next week I think, I don't actually mean TMA03, just the reading and stuff leading up to it.

Still in quandry over ED209, I might actually do the reading and TMA03 before deciding because I think we are gradually getting closer to an idea of work load that way.

4.4

Okay, well the heading is all about the X5 4.4 that I have borrowed from work that I am now totally smitten with at 17mpg.

Now on to school work............

Website has openend and glad to see that I am not the only person who has a TMA01 already drafted!!! Think this is going to be very interesting. Doing the online activities at work today, they are okay but pretty much relate to what I already know...... maybe I remember more from my education days than realised!!!

First tutorial is on 9th October and need to submit TMA01 by 3rd November. Already trying to put together plan for TMA02. I am certain that the next 4 years won't be so chilled but enjoying being ahead!!

Turiorials

Just found out that my tutorials are in Reading when I was hoping that they were in Slough, but hey ho, the upside it that there aren't as many as I was expecting. This sounds like a total negative but it is in fact the opposite.............. you see, I work weekends and wanted to go to all tutorials rather than a select few so now it means I can probably get to all. What is the difference between......... joint tutorial, tutorial and day school????

The reading for TMA02 is actually pretty interesting!!!!

Tutorials

Great news from fairly cool boss. My tutorials are going to be on Saturdays which is a day that I work. Boss is being cool and saying that I can have those Saturdays as my day off in that week. Cool.

Looking at the timings of the whole degree and am wondering how I can fit it in to 5 years rather than 6. I suppose I won't know till I start. I am hoping that because my job is fairly laid back and I don't have kids that I may be about to do a 120 credit year but I am miles off that right now.

Course starts October 2nd. Whey hey.
