Attachment Theory

Have actually managed to get boy toy to understand importance of study and he's gone home to watch a film.

Am currently R & H Book 2, chapter 1 on attachment which is really interesting (to be fair, everything I have read so far has been), will keep going tonight until I finish chapter 2 on disturbing behaviour which is going to be rather important for my future studies (or at least I hope).

Managed to find a website which has a 3 part documentary on Fred West...... I know, you probably think this is 'wrong' but it actually features Prof. David Canter and he is genius. It plays taped interviews with West which are facinating...... he is so matter of fact and cold when he tells his story.

Work is getting to me a little. Don't get me wrong, this place is far better than the place I left after 2 months but it's very quiet and there are a fair few politics that I am staying well out of. To be honest when I'm at work I feel guilty that I should be doing OU stuff and spend all day with my 'studenthome' page open reading forums.

Need to sort my financial support for DSE212 & SD226 which start in October and Febraury respectively as my homepage says!!!! Blimey it does creep up on you!!!

Manic Monday

Mondays are generally not my favourite day of the week and after getting to work half and hour late due to traffic I think today has followed that trend. However till I was late for work it was going swimmingly. Vodafone has been down all day which has been fun especially as I was warring with boy toy over text last night so couldn't continue till 2pm and he'd actually chilled out so maybe it was a good thing.

Course fees have been published for next year on OU website and although they have increased, they aren't awful, do wonder though whether financial support will increase too?!?!?!!??

Tonight will be beer and Chinese in the pub next door with boy toy, might take ED209 TMA01 with me?!?!?!?

OU Tutition Fees

A short post with more of a concerned question

Are the tuition fees with OU going to go up? Is financial support going to disappear?

I won't be able to afford it if it does and hope I haven't just spent the money on DD101 and soon ED209 with no hope of reaching my goal.

I suppose only time will tell.

The OU Financial Support

The financial support form is fairly straight forward although I got it sent back to me because I hadn't sent ID, the slight issue is that you have to have it countersigned by someone on their list. The only one I could see was Police..... do you think I could find one!!! It also turns out that the local 'copshop' only opens from 12-2 where possible!!! Finally after asking every customer who walked in to my shop what they do for a living, I managed to get a retired headteacher. I had more options when I applied for my passport.

Got email back confirming that my financial support will be in place before my course starts. Exciting now.

New laptop has arrived, it is my new favourite toy and have sourced Office 2003 to run so hoping that will surfice for the course, I'm sure it will.
