Another day

Okay, yes!!! I have a fair bit of time to go till I start this course but I want to get a little preparation underway as it's been a while since I studied and I'm a little excited (I'm sure the novelty will wear off but hey!!!).

I am half a lobster due to the glorious but rare english sun but love it anyway.

I have been looking for info on writting assignments ready for the TMAs. There are loads of books on the subject and many written by The OU tutors themselves. I have however found some useful info that might be of help.

1) Open Learn by open university - They have mini modules which help in all ares. I found one on the Indtoduction to psychology which is really good. There is also a module on assignment writting!!!

2) about.com has a Psychology section so sign up and read.

3) http://www.howtowriteessay.net/top-10-essay-tips/ this is quite good.

Florida in 3 weeks and very excited. Orlando - Daytona - Cape Canaveral - Miami and Key Largo. Sooooooooooo EXCITED.

May 2010

Well I have now officially applied to The Open University to study BSc (Hon) Psychology. I have chosen to start with DD101 - Introducing The Social Sciences, it starts on January 2011 so have flippin ages to wait!!! Would be great if the course material would turn up before Christmas as it will give me something to do over the holiday season.

It's gonna take 6 years to do this but hoping to do it in 4/5 although it depends on how I find DD101. I have been selling cars since coming out of school so really want to do something worhly now and the 'dream' would be a mental health hospital which really will also require a Masters. I'm 31 now, I'll be 32 when I start and would really like to be done before I'm 40!!

I am going to try to get a Voluntry position in a Psychiatric unit which should look good on my CV and hopefully help a little with my course. I'm also gonna start applying for jobs which will take me backwards in pay but hopefully a little step further in my career.

I'll update when I have something remotely of interest to tell you.
